Microsoft has announced on Win7's successor, the Win8 that it will be released near around 2012. It has been mentioned that it will support the ARM chipset that is commonly used for portable gadgets like the Nintendo DS series, eReaders and Smartphones. The system requirements for the main Win8 will be slightly lower or the same as Win7 but will not make any significant difference. Unlike the Support lifespan for WinXP since its first arrival near 2001 and its extended support expire date near 2014, while the Win7 Mainstream Support will expire sometime in 2015 and the extended Support in 2020. www.windows8beta.com/
